A word from the president
Robert J. Eng
After years of working in both academic and industry environments,
I learned that there was a gap between business theory and business reality.
While theory is important, the only way to truly learn how to
make good decisions is to actually make decisions and see the
results.
But how can that happen in a two or three-day executive training session?
My solution was to create a computer simulation that immerses executives
in today’s challenging global market conditions, requires them
to make decisions that would improve their companies’ performance,
and actually holds them accountable for the consequences of their choices.
TechMark takes executives out of the comfort zone of their own departments
and drops them in a different set of responsibilities so they see things
from a new perspective — to the benefit of the whole company.
Since it was launched for the coffee industry in 1978, TechMark has
continually evolved over the years — to keep ahead of industry
trends and ever-changing market conditions. I am still actively involved
in TechMark, and the program is delivered more than 40 times every year
at global enterprises and business schools in North America, Europe,
and Asia. More than 700 executives receive TechMark training each year.
For many leading enterprises, TechMark is listed as a core program for
executive education.
I personally invite you to talk to us and learn how we can help you
create a sustainable competitive advantage for your business.
